Philosophy

Hymns for the Angels represents the timeline of the divine, the escape from the matrix, and the quiet loneliness associated with this decoupling. We are capable of so much more than they have told us. We will feel isolated, lonely and alienated, but as we grow closer to the timeline intersection, we will feel the divine light. We will detach from the matrix, and realize all that we are.

They all wear masks, and we all wear masks. They chose their masks, and they choose ours. They don't realize that we are the power and the light. We always were, and we always will be.

As a DJ, I get a good amount of music sent to me for review. I almost NEVER write serious reviews because I rarely get my socks blown off by a new recording- But I just GOTTA tell you about this new thing I was sent yesterday! The band is Hymns for the Angels and the album is "Spinning Heart". It's a one-person band based in Boston. He/she (not even sure who's behind it all so I'll just call it "Hymns" for now) doesn't necessarily pay attention to the rules. I'm not going to try to explain it. Let's just say it woke me up (so much for the incense and the candles; I think the tapestries caught on fire) and it's effect on the overall "composition" of the EP is the reason I love this CD. ” - Roger Reynolds
